Living in San Sebastián,
which is also called Donostia, in Basque language with the population of
about 180.000 inhabitants, is cultural capital of Spanish Basque Country.
It is situated on Cantabrian Coast a few 20 kilometres away from French
border; it has a very gentle climate. Local ordinances don't allow establishment
of the industries or else factories in city limits so the city doesn't
have any pollution problems also is very clean.
La Concha Bay with
its beach is very picturesque. Located in the middle of bay is island of
the Santa Clara that is flanked on the both sides by the two promontories,
the Mount Urgull plus the Mount Igueldo, from that magnificent panoramic
sight of the entire Metropolitan Area can also be enjoyed. On the Mount
Igueldo there is the small Amusement Park as well as a little Zoo.
