Things To See And Do
Shopping is an event all
in itself there are any number of specialty shops, family owned stores,
as well as craft fairs and festivals all year round to satisfy any craving.
Fresh foods are available through a number of farms markets during certain
times of the year thanks to the fertile soil and ideal climate.
There is also fish, game
and excellent wines, in addition to honey, preserves and even a few farms
that offer a pick your own option. There are also a number of fine restaurants
many of which make use of localproduce and in addition to food that has
won awards hospitality is at it's finest in true Scottish style. |
Events
From April until December
enjoy the Swing O the Kilts Variety show that plays every Thursday at the
Fishers Hotel. This event is completely free. For those that love the arts
and do not want to miss great shows during their vacation the Watermill
Gallery puts on art shows regularly and the Perth Theater has a number
of plays check both locations for admission prices and times. There is
also a concert hall with a Symphony Orchestra.
Tours of Scone palace are
available with its own set of events, in November there is a Wild Harvest
Fair. There are over 100 events year round to provide plenty of entertainment
while you are visiting.
Overall Perth offers incredible
countryside, a wide range of events, eating establishments, shopping and
a variety of gardens and outdoor events making it a perfect stop for a
vacation. There are also numerous fine hotels and bed and breakfast hotels
available to suit all budgets and fancies throughout the region.
