Enjoy life on the water on a river or sea cruise

As spring heads for summer, there’s nothing quite like getting out on the water to enjoy the good weather. Whether on a river or sea cruise, there is plenty to see and do along the way and maximum relaxation.

River cruise

1. River cruise and scenic views

While a sea cruise can end up with just endless blue water around you, a river cruise is different. It allows you to see various destinations from an alternative point of view. You travel at a leisurely pace, watching the scenery scroll by. This big beautiful world is full of rivers. Below are some examples. Which one would you choose?

Rhine river cruise

The Rhine River is 766 mi (1233 km) in length and heads from the Swiss Alps through Germany, to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It is one of Europe’s greatest waterways. A river cruise on the Rhine takes you through enchanting scenic landscapes. One moment you are viewing dense forests on the shore, the next you see a magical castle perched on a hill as you float by. You also view the vineyards where the world-famous Gewurztraminer and Riesling wines are born.

However, cruise ships are kitted out for entertainment, with restaurants serving delicious meals, bars to enjoy a drink and evening entertainment like no other. On a sea cruise, you stop off at various fascinating locations along the way and have the opportunity to go ashore and explore. The following are a couple of great examples for a sea cruise this year.
